I’ve done the corporate accounting gig. I’ve been an auditor for one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms. I’ve worked in crazy busy, hustle and bustle, venture backed startups. And then I became a mom and my entire focus and priorities shifted. I wanted to spend as much time as possible with my family; not squeezing family time into a work calendar driven by others. No more rushing through the mornings with my baby so I could hurry up and make my 9am meeting. I was not about that lifestyle anymore! I love accounting, number puzzles, and that feeling of accomplishment when everything reconciles. I didn’t want to give that up, so Bookkeeping by LC was born! Working with like minded women who have the same priorities as me is what I live for when onboarding new clients!
